Three coaches are leaving The Voice after season 26, but only one of them has expressed interest in returning

Fans will be sad to learn that Snoop Dogg isn’t returning for the upcoming Season 27 in February 2025. However, it appears “Uncle Snoop” is open for another crack at the competition in the future.

During the Season 26 Finale, Snoop spoke with Carson Daily. It sounds like he’s eager to return to The Voice in some form at a later date:

“It’s been a great experience for me. I didn’t know what I was signing on to, but I do know it feels like I could come back and do it again,” he said.

The response clearly elated the studio audience, and loud cheers filled the room. Snoop quickly became a fan-favorite personality on the show, so the reaction made a lot of sense.

Will Snoop Reprise His Role As A Coach In The Future?

According to numerous sources, including CinemaBlend, Snoop Dogg originally planned to follow in the footsteps of previous celebrity mentors. Camila Cabello, Ariana Grande, and Dan + Shay have all left their marks on the show and departed after their first seasons.

However, Snoop says he wasn’t expecting to enjoy working with his new colleagues as much as he has:

“I had a great time on The Voice. I ain’t gonna front, but when I did the contract, I thought, ‘I’m gonna do this for one year and get up outta here.’ Once I got to the set, I fell in love with Reba McEntire, Gwen Stefani, and, unbelievably, Michael Bublé are like lost brothers.”

Few celebrities exude star power quite like Snoop, and it’s great to hear that he would at least be willing to return in some capacity. Viewers may be sad to hear he won’t be around in February, but based on fan reception, the showrunners would be idiotic not to bring him back.
