During his visit to ‘It’s Showtime,’ ‘The Voice’ USA grand champion Sofronio Vasquez received recognition from the Organization of Filipino Singers.
Filipino singer and The Voice Season 26 grand champion Sofronio Vasquez returns to the noontime variety show It’s Showtime this Monday (January 6).
This first Monday of 2025, Sofronio, along with several “Tawag ng Tanghalan” judges and TNT champions, will present a heartwarming and powerful opening number on the program.
Sofronio is very grateful to everyone who makes the noontime show possible for making dreams come true for everyone.
He said, “Many, many thanks for starting to develop and starting to open up the dreams for everyone.”
Sofronio and Vice Ganda also shared that the first contestant of “Tawag ng Tanghalan” served as a vocal coach even though he did not win the said competition.
“They don’t know that my dream of competing never stopped. Showtime was the one who gave me the job and made me their vocal coach, so thank you,” said Sofronio.
Additionally, Sofronio received a Special Commendation Award from the Organization of Filipino Singers. This is in recognition of his historic achievement as the first Filipino to win The Voice USA and his dedication and remarkable talent.
Sofronio Vasquez won the 26th season of the reality singing competition The Voice USA, where singer-songwriter Michael Buble served as his coach.
On December 10 (US time), he was named the grand winner after his successful performance of “Unstoppable” and Sia’s “A Million Dreams” from The Greatest Showman.
