The Voice USA Champion Returned to the Philippines for a Memorable Celebration on ‘It’s Showtime,’ the first Filipino and Asian to win “The Voice USA.”
During Monday’s episode, Sofronio kicked off the program with a heartfelt medley of songs accompanied by “Tawag Ng Tanghalan” alumni and esteemed judges, including Nyoy Volante, Darren Espanto, and Yeng Constantino.
In his incredibly moving performance of “A Million Dreams,” the song that helped him win on The Voice USA, Sofronio closed off the show. His performance was so good that it brought tears to the eyes of the audience.

The Filipino singer revealed that “It’s Showtime” and “Tawag Ng Tanghalan” provided him with the initial opportunity to pursue his singing career. He stated : “I was reminiscing. Every time I auditioned for competitions, it was ‘Tawag Ng Tanghalan’ that first noticed me”.
Vice Ganda, who is a host on It’s Showtime, referred to Sofronio as the pride of Tawag Ng Tanghalan, highlighting how his journey has inspired countless Filipinos. Sofronio also expressed his respect for the show for opening doors beyond the competition. He said: “My dreams didn’t stop after Tawag Ng Tanghalan. ‘It’s Showtime’ itself gave me the chance to work as a vocal coach.”
He also extended heartfelt thanks to his The Voice USA coach, Michael Bublé. Sofronio said the following about Michael Bublé: “Coach Michael, I know you’re watching—thank you for embracing your inner Filipino and supporting me throughout this journey.”
In addition to enjoying his well-earned success, Sofronio is currently preparing for his first solo performance in Cebu on January 18. For his followers in the Philippines and beyond, this historic occasion is sure to be a celebration of his artistic abilities and a source of inspiration.
